LOT T.O Accessibility Statement
Inclusive Digital Infrastructure
LAST OF TRUE TORONTO LTD. is working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility. Some accessibility features are currently available, while additional testing and remediation remain underway. This statement reflects the current state of implementation as of July 18, 2026.
Our Commitment to Disability Inclusion
LAST OF TRUE TORONTO LTD. is a disability-friendly institution. We believe that access is not a feature — it is a right. Our commitment to disability inclusion extends to every person who engages with this company: visitors, customers, community members, and investors.
We are actively building infrastructure that serves people across a full range of abilities and access needs, including:
- Visual impairment and low vision — We are implementing sufficient colour contrast (WCAG AA minimum 4.5:1), scalable text, descriptive alt text on all images, and screen-reader-compatible markup across the website.
- Colour blindness — We do not rely on colour alone to convey meaning. Labels, text, and structural cues accompany all colour-coded elements so that information remains accessible regardless of how colour is perceived.
- Deaf and hard of hearing — All future video content will include captions and transcripts. LISTEN WITH SHELL™, our planned founder narration program, will be accompanied by full written transcripts so no content is audio-only.
- Motor and keyboard access — We are building full keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, and accessible form controls so the website can be used without a mouse or touch input.
- Cognitive accessibility — We write in plain, direct language. Page structure follows a logical heading hierarchy. Navigation is consistent and predictable.
This commitment is permanent. It is part of how we build — not a campaign, not a checkbox, and not subject to removal. As we grow, accessibility grows with us.
If you are an investor, partner, or community member evaluating this institution: disability inclusion is embedded in our governance, our design process, and our institutional values. We hold ourselves accountable to continuous improvement and transparent reporting on our progress.
LGBTQ+ Inclusion and Equal Opportunity
LAST OF TRUE TORONTO LTD. is a proudly LGBTQ+ friendly company. We are founded, owned, and operated by Shell Quintino — a queer woman and entrepreneur whose lived experience shapes the values, culture, and direction of this institution.
We do not condone discrimination of any kind. This applies to how we operate internally, how we engage with our community, and how we select partners, suppliers, collaborators, and investors. Discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, or any other protected ground has no place in this institution.
We are an equal opportunity employer and collaborator. Every person who works with, contributes to, or is supported by LAST OF TRUE TORONTO LTD. is entitled to dignity, fairness, and respect — without exception.
Our LGBTQ+ commitment is not a marketing position. It is a founding condition of this company. We exist, in part, because communities that have historically been excluded from ownership, infrastructure, and institutional recognition deserve to build and lead institutions of their own.
We welcome investors, partners, and community members who share these values. We are transparent about who we are and what we stand for — and we expect the same from those who choose to build with us.
What Is Currently Available
An optional accessibility widget (Avada Accessibility Widget ADA) is installed on this website. It provides user-controlled adjustments including text-to-speech ("Read This Page"), font resizing, text spacing, contrast controls, link highlighting, and reading assistance tools.
These features are available to visitors who choose to activate them. They are subject to ongoing testing and may not function identically across all browsers, devices, or assistive technologies.
The widget does not constitute certification, audit, or proof of WCAG, ADA, AODA, or EAA compliance.
Automated Text-to-Speech and LISTEN WITH SHELL™
The "Read This Page" function is an automated text-to-speech tool provided by the Avada widget. It is separate from LISTEN WITH SHELL™, a future program of founder-recorded narration in Shell Quintino's own voice. LISTEN WITH SHELL™ is in development and not yet available.
