Introduction
Cannabis is more than a plant. It is a cultural archive, a communal ritual, and a vessel for sacred knowledge passed through hands, neighbourhoods, and generations. In Toronto, cannabis has shaped identity, community, and healing — especially within the legacy market, where education was shared person-to-person, budtender-to-patient, mentor-to-student.
My own therapeutic journey began inside a small purple building at 1105 Bathurst Street, home to Dolly's Cannabis, under the mentorship of Yadvinder Singh. It was here — while working as a budtender navigating my own ailments — that I was first introduced to CBN, a cannabinoid that would quietly transform my sleep architecture, stabilize my REM cycle, and ultimately inspire the creation of LAST OF TRUE TORONTO, LTD.™
Dispensing Sacred Knowledge Through Cannabis
In the legacy market, cannabis wasn't simply sold — it was taught. Budtenders were cultural stewards, educators, and frontline therapeutic guides. We learned ratios, terpene profiles, cannabinoid interactions, and how different formulations affected real people with real ailments.
For many of us, cannabis was the first alternative medicine that offered relief when traditional pathways failed. It was the first time we saw chemistry and culture intersect.
Yadvinder embodied this ethos. He didn't just dispense product — he dispensed knowledge. And one day, he handed me a bottle that changed everything.
The Product That Sparked LOT T.O
The cannabinoid he introduced me to was CBN, delivered through one of the most respected formulations in the Canadian cannabis industry: MediPharm Labs' CBN 1:2 Nighttime Formula. A pharmaceutical-grade oil engineered for sleep architecture modulation, REM cycle stabilization, and nighttime neurological regulation.
This product became the first controlled ratio that allowed me to understand how cannabinoids interact with identity, chemistry, and emotional regulation.
The REM Cycle Breakthrough
Before CBN, my sleep architecture was fractured. My REM cycle was inconsistent, shallow, and easily disrupted. Working in the legacy market, I saw countless patients navigating similar struggles — anxiety, pain, insomnia, trauma — all seeking relief through alternative medicine.
CBN changed everything. Within weeks, I experienced deeper REM cycles, more consistent sleep architecture, reduced nighttime anxiety, and improved emotional regulation. This was not anecdotal — this was chemical modulation.
Identity is chemical, emotional, and cultural — and all three can be modulated.
Ratios & Identity Chemistry
Cannabinoids interact with the body's internal chemistry in ways that influence emotional regulation, sleep architecture, neurological balance, movement confidence, and identity stability. CBN/THC ratios operate as chemical levers that can shift internal states and reveal how identity responds to modulation.
CBN was the first identity wave I ever experienced — the moment that opened the door to LOT T.O Therapeutics.
