A Campaign to Acquire 1020 Dupont St and Build Toronto’s First Community-Powered Cultural Infrastructure Hub
Toronto, ON — Last of True Toronto Ltd. has launched a major fundraising initiative to acquire 1020 Dupont Street and its adjacent lot, transforming the industrial site into a multi-use cultural sanctuary for creators, neighbors, and community members in transition.
The project, titled FUNDRAI$ING 4 THE LOT T.O, aims to build:
- Affordable artist residencies
- Rentable personal lockers + luggage storage
- Sleep pods + showers
- Studios, maker labs, and research rooms
- A solar-powered green space
- An outdoor venue for concerts, markets, and festivals
The initiative is rooted in Toronto’s industrial heritage and the company’s mission to preserve authenticity in a rapidly consolidating cultural landscape.
